To All -

Just a gentle reminder that now is the time to get your PHRF renewed if you
wish to race this year. Go to www.hryra.org >> PHRF RACING >> 2017 HRYRA &
PHRF APPLICATIONS >> then follow the instructions, write your check, and
drop it in the mail. Remember that in order to be scored you 1) must be a
paid-up member of the Cruising Fleet and 2) have a 2017 PHRF as listed on
the HRYRA web site. Any problems or questions please contact me or Racing
Fleet Captain John Michael.

Race Patrol Duty

Each year the Cruising Fleet is responsible for providing Race Patrol
assistance at selected events. We rely on volunteers, but if the list cannot
be filled then we must start assigning folks for specific dates. Here are
the current outstanding dates which need to be filled now. First come, first
served:

Monday, May 29th - Laser/Sunfish Regatta

Sunday, June 4th - Magnus Pederson Regatta

Wednesday, June 21st - Wednesday Night racing

Sunday, July 2nd - Guy Moulton Regatta

Wednesday, July 26th - Wednesday Night racing

Wednesday, August 16th - Wednesday Night racing

Wednesday, August 30th - Wednesday Night racing

Sunday, September 3rd - Labor Day Regatta

The good news is that if you are a racer, and volunteer to be on Race
Patrol, you may ask to receive your average score for the season for that
event. For those that don't race, being on Race Patrol requires no advanced
training, lets you spend a lovely day/evening on the water watching other
people make mistakes, and helps your Fleet fulfill a major Club obligation.
Please note this is a Fleet obligation, not part of your Club work service
obligation. If you can't make your date, it is your duty to find and arrange
for a replacement.

Our first race is Wednesday, May 3rd, 6:30 starting time. See you on the
water.
