Hi Paul –

There are five boats lined up to have keels cleaned by Carl Sundvik tomorrow, Monday, starting at 2 pm. There are three more boats who wish to participate if Carl has the time.

Do we have prior approval from Club management as required below?

Thanks, Paul. You can contact Carl at 845-521-4538. (I don’t think he does e-mail.)

I’m sure he will complete the paperwork for you.

Please keep the Cruising Fleet up to date so that nobody abuses the new rules.

Lee,  In interpretation of the recently approved House & Ground rules, I conclude that if Carl performs services at the clubs docks, prior approval by club management is required.  Documentation would include:

  • Signed Indemnification agreement and/or waiver.
  • General liability certificate of Insurance issued to the club.
  • Workers compensation coverage for contractor and employees.

I have received no such documentation from Carl.

The rule does allow partial documentation waivers in certain circumstances.

Once provided, this documentation would be good for the year.  The contractor should sign in our guest book.

If done at the mooring, an unapproved vendor may be escorted by a member to their mooring without approval.

Lee,  Gene Cohen has emailed me that he already told you to go ahead with using Carl.  As RC Facilities and Flag Officer, he has that authority.
I confirmed that authorization to John Michael this afternoon.
