Many thanks to Joey G, Karen Horton, Eric & Kathy Ottens, Flo Muller, and
many others for a wonderful Cruising Fleet Pier Party on Saturday. More than
100 attended, the food & drink were good, and the warm evening was
exceptional. Thanks guys for all your hard work.
Another Sunday race brought challenges today. The outgoing current was as
vicious as I've ever seen. While a sparkly blue-sky day, the fickle west
wind started out as a northerly, died in spots, and at times shifted to the
east on the Tarrytown shore. No kidding. John Michael did his normal
"horizon job" in Spirit, followed by Bob Millstein in Pentimento. Sheba and
Aeolus were scored TLE (time limit expired) when they found holes where
there shouldn't have been any, and couldn't complete the course in under two
hours.
We hope you will start thinking about the Labor Day Regatta coming up in two
weeks. The Cruising Fleet is always under-represented, so here's a good
chance to win some Club hardware.
See you on the water.
