To All -
File tonight under the category - "Hey, ya never know."
The thunder was still rumbling right up until 6 pm, but the radar said there
was a window of no storms for a few hours.
There was also no wind and a good incoming current. Some non-believers were
still on the patio when the Race Committee (Bob Shoemaker, Mike Lucas)
announced a quick race for course 14X with one start for both spinnaker and
non-spinnaker divisions. Thanks to Rich Quelch, driving the launch, for
getting a few crews out to their boats in record time to make the 6:30
start. A shift to a southwest wind caused a course change to 12X, sending
everybody to mark C and back. Or was the wind south? Or was it east? No, it
was zero. Oooops, northeast. Like I said - Hey, ya never know.

P.S. Apologies to last Sunday's racers. I copied the results, but the
paperwork never made it home. Promise to get the data tomorrow.
